Air-Weigh, a leader in the manufacture and distribution of on-board scale systems nationwide, has an imidate opening for a Software Engineer.

Summary: Design, development and test of new products

Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday thru Friday; additional hours as necessary

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or five years experience as an embedded software Engineer

Minimum qualifications & experience:

  • Five (5) years experience in a related capacity
  • Ability to use PC design tools effectively
  • Experience with microcontroller and microprocessor systems
  • Experience with real-time industrial data acquisition and/or controls
  • Experience with in-circuit debuggers
  • Ability to write in C language
  • Ability to work with assembler language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Design and development of vehicle software
  • inter-device communications
  • 8051 derivatives
  • SAE network protocols J1939, J1708/J1587
  • ARM derivatives

Core Competencies:

  • Software design and development for new products and production test equipment
  • Software engineering support for product release and manufacturing
  • Software engineering support of existing products
  • Work within company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Provide periodic project progress reports
  • Participate in new product R&D
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
